In short: today we only use essential cookies (sign-in, language, security). If we ever use analytics or advertising cookies, they'll only be turned on with your consent.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files the website stores in your browser to remember information, such as whether you're signed in.
2. Essential cookies
The website doesn't work without them, so they don't require consent:
- phvia.session_token and related: keep you signed in to your account;
- NEXT_LOCALE: remembers the language you chose;
- phvia_did: identifies the device anonymously to prevent abuse of free credits;
- Cloudflare Turnstile and Google: bot protection and Google sign-in, when you use these features.
3. Optional cookies
We currently don't use analytics or advertising cookies. To improve the service, we count internally which steps people reach (opening the creator, uploading the photo, paying, downloading), without cookies: before sign-in we only use a random code kept in the open tab, which disappears when it is closed, and nothing is sent to third parties. If we start using analytics cookies, they'll only be turned on after you accept them in the cookie notice, and you'll be able to change your choice at any time.
4. How to control them
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, sign-in and other parts of the website stop working.
